Wendy has proudly called Carbondale home for more than 26 years. A graduate of Carbondale Community High School and an SIU alumna, she has deep roots in the community. She is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and spent more than 24 years working at the Women’s Empowerment Center, where her passion for serving and connecting with people continued to grow.

Latino Mix was created when Wendy and her cousin decided to turn a shared idea into something real. Together, they combined their love of food, family, culture, and community to build a business that reflects who they are and the flavors they grew up with. What started as conversations and a dream became a food truck focused on bringing people together through authentic, comforting food.

For Wendy and her cousin, Latino Mix is more than a business. It is a way to share their culture, celebrate family traditions, and serve the community with food made with love and full of flavor.
